Sanjeev Bakrania - Utility Warehouse

Sanjeev Bakrania is a senior Utility Warehouse Partner, helping people in Bristol and Somerset save money on their utilities, and mentoring the next generation of UW Partners.

Utility Warehouse gives its customers the convenience of paying a single utility bill, typically combining gas supply, electricity supply and broadband Internet, to just one supplier. This is not just more convenient, it’s also generally cheaper than having several separate suppliers thanks to the economies of scale inherent in UW’s national bulk-buying power and consolidated administration.

There are some attractive special savings when you sign up with Sanjeev. He looks forward to helping not only IBC members but also their friends and colleagues manage their household bills more efficiently.

Jerry Riches's profile headshot

Jerry Riches - Business Finance Trust

I help businesses, including small & micro companies, self employed and start-ups, secure the finance they require to grow their business. I work with customers, suppliers and professional advisors (accountants, consultants and business coaches).

Many of my customers are frustrated that their bank relationship has become remote and that the lending appetite is often absent. This may be so, but the bank is just one source of finance, and being BIG, they deliver very generic products that often don’t fit the requirements of the customer.

Therefore, just as smaller businesses succeed by being more flexible so too do smaller lenders. These products can be the perfect fit for any business but the challenge for both lender and customer is how to bring each other together.

The answer is through a broker who gets to know the customer and their challenges. In this way the broker can match the right product/solution to a unique problem. This can seldom be achieved by a telephone/online relationship, it’s essential to meet with the customer to gain a real understanding of the business; it’s especially in this area that the massive loss of relationship staff in the High St banks has made this so difficult over recent years.

By working closely with my customers I am their advocate to an underwriter, there will be no “tick box” underwriting, thus ensuring the best chance of a positive decision.

If you prefer a face to face service and to talk to the same person each time, then please give me a call. As well as financing all types of assets (vehicles, machinery, IT, office/shop fit outs & much more) I can also re-finance tangible assets, release cash from debtors to enable your business to grow and also provide unsecured loans to assist with paying tax, managing stock or for a simple cash injection into your business.

After 32 years with Barclays Asset Finance I know every business is different, that is why I still love the challenge of finding the right solution for each customer.

Ruth Southorn's profile headshot

Ruth Southorn - Swallowtail Social

I’m Ruth, and I help busy small business owners who aren’t ready to outsource their marketing (especially the solopreneurs and companies of one who are spinning all the plates themselves) so that they can get social media working for them, without burning out. Social media shouldn’t suck the life out of you, so I guide clients through the social media ‘techy jungle’ and boost their confidence about what they ‘should’ post strategically and how to go about it practically.

I specialise in Facebook, Instagram (and even Pinterest!) marketing.

I offer online and in-person training via 1-2-1 coaching sessions (such as Half-Day Intensives, or multi-session short courses), as well as group workshops. For example, my classes cover hands-on topics from “Design with Canva for Beginners” to “Instagram Reels for Small Businesses”, supporting clients with knowhow and to be more productive… all to get real results on social media.

I also offer a signature ‘Social Media Co-Pilot’ service – live, pay-as-you-go hourly support (online or in-person in Bristol/Keynsham areas) – for those struggling to be consistent with social media marketing. Posting together, I’ll guide and advise you to help you keep your posts on track.

Whatever you’re looking to achieve, my friendly, down-to-earth coaching style means we cut through jargon and focus on what really works for your unique brand and audience.
