I am a Chartered Cost Consultant and Director of DGR7 Limited. I advise clients across Bristol, Bath, the Cotswolds and the wider South West on the cost and commercial aspects of residential and commercial development projects.
I began working in quantity surveying in June 2006 and now have over 20 years’ experience in quantity surveying and property development. I hold MCIOB, AssocRICS and DipSurvPract qualifications. My work covers cost planning, procurement, tendering, contract administration and cost control across refurbishment, extension and new build projects.
At the outset, I help clients establish a realistic budget, identify hidden cost drivers and make appropriate allowances for risk and uncertainty. I can prepare schedules of works, support contractor selection and analyse tender returns so that decisions are based on clear and comparable information.
During construction, I assess valuations, report on expenditure against budget, manage changes and variations and support the agreement of the final account. I also provide practical contract administration services, including instructions, progress meetings, payment certificates, practical completion and defects.
My approach is practical, independent and detail led. I aim to translate technical scope and construction risk into clear financial information, helping clients retain control of their budget and make informed decisions throughout the project.
